At the beginning of Season 6 «Vikings», Lagertha dreamed of leading a quiet life on a farm and never having to take up arms again. But this dream did not last long: a group of Vikings, who were rejected by their son Björn (Alexander Ludwig) and led by a man named Weisshaar, attacked a village nearby. The women sought support from the famous shieldmaiden, who then took up her sword again. In a second attack by the exiles, Lagertha's grandson Hali was finally killed. It should not be the last encounter between Lagertha and Weisshaar. The trailer for Episode 6 heralds a return of Weisshaar, who threatens to kill Lagertha. He wants revenge for Björn's punishment that took everything from him, as he reveals in the first preview of the new episode. With the banishment, Björn not only took away his family, but also his pride and his identity.
Weisshaar seeks revenge. He threatens Lagertha that he is capable of killing her. “And I will!” he announces. Further scenes show how Lagertha obviously faces Weisshaar alone and fights with him. Even when she is already down and other shieldmaidens want to help her, she tells the other women not to help her. Lagertha is not afraid of death. But is he really already expecting her in Episode 6? We remember, in season 4 the seer prophesied that it will be one of Ragnar's sons who kills her: Björn, Ubbe, Hvitserk or Ivar are still possible. At the moment it doesn't look like one of the four men will show up at Lagertha's farm and put an end to their lives. But series creator Michael Hirst may have misled us all.
Because if Lagertha is killed by Weisshaar in the next episode "Vikings", this death could still be connected to one of Ragnar's sons. After all, it was Björn who made the decision to spare Weisshaar and banish him instead. This led to him becoming a rampant scavenger, whose paths eventually crossed with Lagertha. «Vikings» Season 6 Episode 6 will be available on Amazon Prime Video from Thursday...
