After the cliffhanger at the end of the 12th episode of «The Walking Dead» Season 6, the cards are completely reshuffled. "Helloooo, Saviors!" it was said last week how episode 13 “The Same Boat” will continue and whether Rick & Co. will manage to free Carol and Maggie from the clutches of their kidnappers will be clarified next Monday. See what promo and sneak peak videos tell us about it!
The past 12th episode of «The Walking Dead» Season 6 was tough: After a rather thoughtful beginning, the tension increased steadily until the end, where Rick and his best people killed a good 20 survivors in a night and fog operation from the group of Saviors killed in his sleep. One can certainly argue about the moral level of this act. However, Rick's motives were clear: we liberate the Hilltop Colony from the blackmailing Saviors and in return receive the much-needed food for Alexandria. This would all have actually gone off pretty lightly if one of the Saviors hadn't triggered the fire alarm, which in turn lured Maggie and Carol towards the Saviors' base, where they were captured by a group of Saviors. As we saw at the very end of episode 12, the gang of Saviors seem to be well aware of the value of their "loot" and are therefore trying to blackmail Rick & Co. War requires a crackdown if you're going to win - and some sacrifices.
If you could still convince yourself that you could easily defeat the kidnappers just like you did the Savior troop in their camp, then the promo video presents us with a completely different picture. With the woman really does not seem to be good to eat cherries! You can hear her voice conspiratorially: “You wonder if there is a way out of here – there isn’t. Unless I decide it." Are Carol and Maggie stuck at Saviors headquarters now? The first sneak peek for episode 13 also leads us back to the last scene from episode 12, when what is probably the last survivor from the Saviors' guard post roared out the door on Daryl's motorcycle and was summarily overpowered by him. The noise also drew the Saviors' squad into action, one of whom observed the scene through her binoculars and then contacted Rick's people via radio. What is particularly interesting about this perspective are the dialogues within the group. "How many are there?" – «8 I see. Too many…» – «No, we can overpower them. We've done more!» Kind of reminds me of certain dialogues from Rick's group... And so the small troop obviously also shows quite a bit of self-confidence, and their leader also seems anything but averse to blackmailing Rick & Co. into giving up.
The second sneak peek of episode 13 reveals that Rick has no intention of being blackmailed by any people, no matter how cowardly they hide from him, and so he proposes a deal: «Look, we have one of you. We will exchange them for each other." "I'm listening," the woman replies, and Rick wants to make sure she's not making a big deal out of him: "I want to talk to Carol and Maggie to make sure they're okay." Interesting to see Carol immediately revert to her shy “I can't-hurt-anybody-fly-hurt” way and say in a cracked squeaky voice: “Rick, this is Carol. I'm fine, but... », but the resolute leader has had enough. Maggie, on the other hand, makes a complete badass and explains in a firm voice: «Rick, this is Maggie, we are both fine. We'll get out of here." Cleverly arranged, because the kidnappers' attention will probably be mainly on Maggie in the near future and Carol as the frightened housewife can withdraw more and more from the focus. What is Carol up to? Will she be able to free Maggie and herself?
Rick has apparently decided to negotiate with the Saviors. "Listen, this is the deal: let her go and you can have your guy back here - and live." – «Two for one? That's not exactly a fair trade! », the leader of the opposing group replies to him. "You have no other choice," is Rick's dry reply, "otherwise you would have done something long ago." But the leader doesn't seem to want to give up just yet. Although her co-worker insists he needs to be freed, she seems to think he's good at taking care of himself. 'But he can patch me up! That's necessary thanks to this bitch here...» the other replies while casting a venomous look in the direction of Carol. And so we see that Maggie and Carol get their jackets pulled over their heads and are kidnapped until they end up in a strange building. What awaits you there? But not the feared leader of the Saviors, Negan? And what will Rick & Co. do when they realize that their deal isn't working out? Soon we will learn how the "joyful meeting" of the Saviors will continue...
