For many, the books and Disney films of Winnie the Pooh are cult. Now the cuddly bear will soon appear in a horror film as a brutal serial killer.
Pooh Bear is one of the most popular children's heroes of all time, thanks in no small part to Disney's film adaptations like Winnie the Pooh. However, the honey-loving ball of fur soon becomes a horror figure in a horror film. In «Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey», the bear goes on a massacre tour with pig friend Piglet, who also falls victim to the donkey Eeyore. Now there are the first pictures. And they show how one can imagine the unusually brutal doings of the two cute animal figures penned by AA Milne. An innocent woman bathing apparently falls under the wheels of Piglet's Audi.
Creator Rhys Frake-Waterfield revealed the basic premise to Variety. Winnie and Piglet's human friend, Christopher Robin, has taken off for college. Without their usual source of food, the animals have no choice but to return to their natural, bloody instincts. One of the first victims is said to be buddy Eeyore. It is not yet clear when "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey" will be released in this country. In an interview, Frake-Waterfield speaks of accelerated post-production. It is conceivable that the horror film will be released here at the end of 2022. It will probably be released straight to DVD/Blu-ray or VOD.
