Ten years after his last theatrical appearance, Hellboy returns to the screens in a completely overhauled form and significantly more mature. The participation of genre creator Neil Marshall (The Descent - Abyss of Horror, Dogsoldiers, Game of Thrones) should make "Hellboy: Call of Darkness" more horror than comic film. You can't see much of it in the second, German trailer (but all the more in the Red band trailer), but it already suggests that the new film is taking a much tougher pace than Guillermo del Toro's films.

Also with the first two TV commercials, which announce the impending end of the world, Mike Mignola's fiery red Hellboy is given a lot more presence this time.
