“The Spoiling Dead Fans” have collected the clues from the last few weeks and were able to create the first rough sketches of the first three episodes. The Season 7 trailer Fans probably already know “The Walking Dead” by heart. Things will get going again soon, on October 24th we will finally find out who from Rick's group falls victim to Lucille.
As previously reported, the first episode of season 7 continues seamlessly from the cliffhanger in the season 6 finale. We return to the place where Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) cruelly kills at least one of the main characters in front of the other survivors. This hits Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) especially hard because he blames himself for it. As a result of his guilty feelings, he escapes into a kind of dream sequence that feels like an alternate reality - one in which Negan does not exist and Alexandria lives in harmony. Rumor has it that this sequence will show a dinner with all characters. Even the baby of Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) should be seen. The first episode should - besides Negan's victim - contain another shock element. Already in the finale of the 6th season we got to know the first members of the Kingdom who will play an important role in the new episodes. They stand by Alexandria and Hilltop in the fight against Negan.
Not everyone returns to Alexandria. According to eyewitness reports on site, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is said to still be in the power of Negan even after the premiere of season 7. Apparently the Saviors take him to their headquarters in Episode 2. There Negan should try to break Daryl by all means possible. Does Negan perhaps see the battle-hardened loner as a future member of the Saviors? According to insider reports, Daryl is not treated well in the Sanctuary, as the quarters are called. Instead of real food, he should be given dog food. Daryl's attempt to escape from the sanctuary fails. The second episode seems to focus exclusively on Negan's people and also includes a chase after a Savior tries to run away. Dwight, wearing Daryl's biker vest, and other Saviors attempt to catch up with him and bring him back to punish him for his disobedience. In the trailer we see some of these prisoners being forced to wear jackets with individual letters on them. In the trailer we see two men with the letters “S” and “F”. Thanks to snapshots from filming, we know that Daryl Dixon is also forced to wear such a jacket. It is still unclear what the letters stand for.
In the comics, Negan appears at the gates of Alexandria a week after the gruesome murder of Glenn. After Negan and his people have access to the safe zone, they get a first part from the Alexandria supplies. Negan hands Rick his baseball bat, Lucille - and Rick has to hold it while Negan walks through Alexandria and the Saviors loot vital supplies. Some fans will probably ask themselves now: why does Rick do nothing if he even has Lucille in his hands? Rick doesn't want to endanger any of his friends again. He is already blaming himself for the deaths of the previously unknown characters who were killed by Negan. And Negan lets Rick run next to him like a trained dog with Lucille, because he wants to break him forever. All tactics and mind games designed to push Rick to his limits. Imagine being forced by an unscrupulous killer, who recently murdered one of your loved ones with this very weapon, to carry this device around in his own home!
As for the headquarters of Negan and his companions, we already got a first impression of the "Sanctuary" in the trailer. When they remove the bucket from the chained walker near the fence in the second shot of the trailer, we clearly see the area outside the sanctuary. Fans who know the comics will certainly know that part of the Sanctuary's defense involves chaining walkers together. We get another reference to the Sanctuary and its macabre defensive measures later, just before we see Negan knocking on the gate of Alexandria. So we see a walker shortly before, which apparently also belongs to the defense line of the Sanctuary. This can be seen by the fact that his wrist has been nailed down and a wooden stake has also been pushed through his chest, again a sign of the Sanctuary's surroundings. This is the first look at the mysterious Sanctuary: Negan's sterile, creepy headquarters has now been seen from a bird's eye view by Spoiling Dead fans for the first time.
In the 3rd episode, a new community will come into focus, the Kingdom. It is the place where Carol (Melissa McBride) and Morgan (Lennie James) are taken after they are found by two men on horses. The people in the «Kingdom» will still play an important role and will support Rick Grimes in the fight against Negan. First and foremost the leader of this community, Ezekiel, who has a tame tiger named Shiva as a pet. Insiders tell The Spoiling Dead Fans that CGI will be used to bring the tiger to life in the series.
